Dominic Grana, P.E.
Dominic Grana heads up
the Environmental Technical Group and is responsible for the
management of administrative operations including information
systems, CADD services and facility management for Geotechnology.
Additionally he provides direction and oversight of the firm’s
branch office in Overland Park, Kansas. He leads an environmental
staff of geologists, hydrogeologists, engineers, geophysicists,
wetlands specialists, environmental scientists, and field
representatives. He also serves as Principal-In-Charge for projects
involving air pollution permitting and testing, regulatory analysis,
and plant and process engineering.
Grana’s experience spans over 30 years with the last 20 years at the Principal / Manager level on a broad range of environmental projects related to permitting, testing, analyses, process engineering, compliance auditing and due diligence. Specific expertise in plant and process engineering for industrial facilities and environmental engineering experience at automotive assembly plants, integrated steel mills, and chemical plants give depth and breadth to the group’s collective background. He draws upon this expertise to direct his team in supporting the Industrial, Transportation/Infrastructure, and Development Market Teams with a variety of services including geophysics, environmental site assessments, risk based corrective action, wetlands permitting and mitigation planning, brownfields, indoor air quality (asbestos/lead/mold), and industrial compliance.

He does this through maintaining a focus on key business elements, such as safety, employee utilization, quality assurance/quality control, efficient project implementation and professional/technical training. He enjoys helping his employees to develop their technical and project management skills, to grow in their profession, and to develop their leadership potential. A key goal of the Environmental Group is to develop experts in specific technical disciplines while promoting cross-training in related fields to provide flexibility and responsiveness to serve our clients’ needs.
Grana is a registered Professional Engineer in Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Ohio. He holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
He is on the Board of Directors of the St. Louis Section of the Air and Waste Management Association and is a member of the Academy of Civil Engineers at the University of Missouri-Rolla. In addition, as a member the Greater Regional Opportunities for Workforce Training and Higher Education (GROWTH) task force he assists the St. Louis Community College District in their ongoing strategic planning efforts.
