Frank Callanan, P.E.
Frank Callanan
spearheads the Development Market Team at Geotechnology. As Team
Leader he manages efforts to acquire new business in the development
market and build strong and lasting relationships with developers,
institutions, real estate firms, government agencies and the
design-and-construction companies that conduct their projects. He is
responsible for project management and execution of developer
projects providing extensive expertise in civil engineering project
management, geotechnical engineering analysis and design, as well as
appraisals of contaminated sites and construction supervision.
Geotechnology crossed the ocean to find a professional with Callanan’s superb geotechnical knowledge. Originally from Ireland, Callanan now applies his value-engineering skills, detailed-oriented job approach and expertise to outstanding projects throughout the St. Louis region and the Midwest.
Since joining Geotechnology in 2002, Callanan has managed many prominent projects in the St. Louis area, including Pinnacle Casino, Ameristar Casino Expansion, MetroLink Cross-County Extension, Callaway Nuclear Power Plant, Missouri State Health Laboratory and many more projects in the St. Louis Metropolitan area and the Midwest.
It is Callanan’s goal to provide clients services through the duration of their entire project from site selection or project initiation through construction to problem solving. By being the primary consultant on a project, the firm can provide comprehensive understanding of the project and bring exceptional value to every stage of the project and to the client. This allows Callanan and his team to develop and strengthen client relationships over time. In addition Callanan works to keep clients abreast of the newest and most-improved services available, so that the firm can provide more efficient, less evasive, and cost-effect solutions for their projects.
Callanan is a registered Professional Engineer in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Kentucky and California. He earned a Master of Science in Geotechnical and Structural Engineering and Geology from Cornell University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Mathematics from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, serves as Secretary/Treasurer for the local chapter of the Engineering Earthquake Research Institute, and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland. In his community, Callanan is an active fundraiser for various events with his local church and school.
