Karen Kunzelmann


When Karen Kunzelmann joined Geotechnology in Spring 2005, she hit the ground running. A self-proclaimed “people person” she adapted quickly to the new environment and 100+ staff she now works with.


As the Human Resources Manager, she directs and implements human resources services for all Geotechnology locations. Kunzelmann is responsible for personnel recruitment as well as employee benefits, training, orientation, evaluations, personnel software and more.


Kunzelmann’s goal is to add value to the company by recruiting incredible talent to all divisions of the company and to develop and promote a rewarding working experience for all members of the staff while helping them focus on client service. She works to foster continued excellence through recognition of achievement, a dedication to teamwork and a commitment to helping the company achieve its goals while challenging itself with new ones.


She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from Webster University and has served as a Human Resources Generalist since 1988.


Kunzelmann is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the St. Louis chapter of the Employment Management Association (EMA). She is also involved in Parks for Dogs and Dog Rescue.
