Phil Jozwiak, P.E.

As Team Leader of the Transportation/Infrastructure Market Team, Phil Jozwiak draws from over 38 years of experience and his thorough understanding of the design and construction facets of project development to direct his team in successfully completing projects. He joined Geotechnology in 1995 and served as Senior Associate on transportation/infrastructure projects prior to becoming Market Team Leader.

Over the years Jozwiak has acquired extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, general contracting and construction management through many projects in the Midwest. He has managed numerous major projects in the area, including I-70 Relocation at the New Mississippi River Crossing; Page Avenue Extension; East Terminal Expansion at Lambert, St. Louis International Airport; and Baumgartner, Grand and Bates, and Deer Creek Sanitary Relief Tunnels, along with many road and bridge projects throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area.

Jozwiak possesses a dedicated focus on his clients, fostering long-standing relationships with continuous clients, such as the Missouri Department of Transportation and the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District. He likes to take a proactive approach to his work, encouraging his team members to take initiative on projects and work together to take on difficult geotechnical challenges and develop their skills. By coaching his staff, he encourages them to take ownership in the project and be responsive to clients. Jozwiak continues to steer Geotechnology toward leading technologies and methods to advance with the industry and continue to provide clients with the most innovative, cost-effective, and quality solutions to their needs.

Jozwiak is a registered Professional Engineer in Missouri and Illinois. He holds both a Professional Degree and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla. Throughout his career, Jozwiak has been very active in professional organizations, serving as past president of the St. Louis Engineers’ Club, the American Society of Civil Engineers-St. Louis Section, and the Society of American Military Engineers-St. Louis Post, and is currently a committee chair in the American Council of Engineering Companies of Missouri.
